The roller specialist from Herford is confidently looking into the future
INOMETA was founded in 1981 by Wilfried Tappe. In the past 35 years, the company from Herford has evolved into a renowned roller specialist, well known for innovative lightweight solutions. While the lightweight material mainly used in the beginning was aluminum, INOMETA already began to manufacture CFRP printing cylinders and adapters for the flexographic printing in 1999. With this, the company achieved pioneering success in the processing of CFRP (carbon fiber-reinforced composites) into durable precision components. The targeted further development of innovative lightweight construction competence, and the continuous expansion of the CFRP components range helped INOMETA to quickly become well-known far beyond the borders of Germany. Of course, aluminum components are still in high demand among the INOMETA customers, but the CFRP share among the incoming orders is continuously rising.
In 2015, the company’s founder Wilfried Tappe retired from the daily business activities at INOMETA and handed over the company’s management duties to the next generation. Since then, Cedric Tappe has been responsible for the development, technology and production at INOMETA, and Christof Schotten for the marketing and sales departments. “We continue to actively practice our mission statement: Quality, customer-orientation and innovation”, says Christof Schotten regarding the future plans for the family business. “As in the past, we will continue to invest into manufacturing and production technology in the future”, Cedric Tappe added. “We are currently looking for professionals, especially cutting machine operators from the grinding or turning technology fields”.
