Our measurement rollers are based on a proven and reliable measuring principle and consist of a robust roller made of aluminium, steel or CFRP, which is equipped with a high-precision sensor unit. This unit measures the force that the material web exerts on the roller and can convert this directly into an electrical signal. This signal is then forwarded to a control unit, which calculates the tension of the material web.

Precise sensor technology for accurate measurement & monitoring

The functional principle of INOMETA web tension sensors is based on the precise measurement of the radially directed forces that are introduced into the sensor via the bearing journal. These forces are generated by the bearing of the measurement roller or a deflection roller, which enables the sensors to record and evaluate the tensile force directly. Thanks to their special design, these sensors offer all the necessary degrees of freedom for simple integration and installation in existing systems.

To ensure maximum precision, INOMETA sensors are mechanically protected against overload by fixed stops. This ensures long-term stability and reliability of the measurement results, even under demanding operating conditions.
