As part of an innovative retrofit project, INOMETA has joined forces with BOBST to retrofit a 7-year-old flexographic printing press (20Six) from Vitrapack. The solution package includes BOBST’s exclusive TriLock® technology for locking bearings and INOMETA’s INOshaft® CPH shafts.Our innovative CFRP hybrid shafts minimize deflection and quickly decay vibration amplitudes, absorbing shocks rapidly. They integrate seamlessly with existing adapters and offer superior performance.
Tests on the upgraded printing unit showed promising results: A significant increase in print speed and consistent print quality were achieved. David De Laet, COO at Vitrapack, emphasized: “The performance upgrade has demonstrated a very promising speed increase in this print unit. Therefore, we have decided to upgrade additional color stations on our flexo printing machines. We are eager to see how this will positively impact the print performance of an entire design.“
