The innovative INOMETA INOheat\u00ae<\/sup> heating roller has been designed with the needs and requirements for coating and laminating films and other substrates in mind. We ensure a reliably constant and uniform surface temperature distribution, as this is the prerequisite for even material web tempering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A fast start-up curve of the heating power and precise temperature distribution control on the roller surface are what makes the electric heating roller stand out from competing products. The maximum lasting operating temperature is 220\u00b0C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Owing to their electrical mode of operation, the heating rollers do not need any liquid media, the power and signals are transmitted via a flange-mounted slip ring contact. Heat losses outside the roller through the pipe system are thus now a thing of the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this customer application, INOMETAs INOheat\u00ae<\/sup> heating roller is used in a winding process to produce current bushings for high-voltage applications. An aluminium core is wrapped with brown paper and aluminium foil. The process aims to completely expel the residual moisture contained in the paper during winding.
The INOheat\u00ae<\/sup> heating rollers bring the materials to a defined process temperature evenly and reliably, allowing the moisture to effectively diffuse out of the paper. A rubber platen roller provides the necessary compression on the winding body, thus supporting both the drying effect and winding stability. The resulting conical structure is achieved by intentionally varying the material width during winding.
The homogeneous temperature distribution on the roller surface and the fast reaction time of the INOMETA heating rollers enable stable process control with high energy efficiency and consistent product quality \u2013 even with thermally sensitive materials.
